Anyone know how to remove the top bearing from a Elu 177E

'fraid I can't answer your question, but will be interested in the answer in case the bearing in my similar Elu packs up .

From the look of the parts diagram you may need a puller and splitter. If the armature won't pull out of the bearing by hand the bearing+housing will have to be pulled off the armature, and then the bearing pulled from its seat. You may be able to get the bearing from its seat by using a socket as a spacer and putting a bolt through both bearing and socket, so doing up the nut draws out the bearing.
