Very nice David

That looks great! Nice to see the different timbers being used so well, something I'm looking to have a go at in the near future. Are the dovetails hand cut?

I'm guessing the glued in piece of end grain on the dovetails is where a groove was routered for the box base? I'm sure you don't need to be told this, but next time try coming off the with the router before you reach the end of the timber.

Sort of right. The housing is cut with the Stanley 50 multi-plane and really can't be stopped. I'm afraid I'm not too good with electric routers, in fact I dislike them, despite having two. A previous box was executed with the plug virtually invisible, but this developed a glue shadow, which I couldn't get out. Fortunately this plug seem to show more on the photo than real life. Hey ho! Thanks for all the comments on this project. :)
