Don't know the animal specifically Pete, but it looks like a standard clone/re-badge common to several other brands.

Should do what you need around the lathe, suggest you might want to fit it outside the shop though due to limited dust filtering and noise.

If outside the shop, an even coarser top bag can be fitted to increase the air flow further.

I don't know this make Pete, but just be careful of the noise on some of the extractors. They can be very loud
Hows the new workshop coming along :?:

Thanks guys, I have nearly got the workshop together. Put my lathe back, Needs a bit of TLC after 4 months in retirement. Wet & dry and some lubrication,. Hopoefully I will be more or less ready to go tomorrow. 4 mnths cold turkey (apart from a bit of turning at the B'ham bash....must finish that yew piece off) is too long

I was thinking of getting a 'dust extractor with acoustic hood' and keeping it in the shed. Saw this on e-bay though and wondered if it was worth it as it seemed higher powered than others. Need to add another £20 - 30 for hose however so looks like the Axminster is going to be it.

Pete
