Have had axminster AWSBS (white)
for years, anybody know the actual size or where to get one at reasonable price.

Solent Tools also list one, but it looks different to the one above.

Has your existing one no writing on it?

When you change it, write the belt spec. inside the cover somewhere.

Works OK for me.
Apparently they do not want anyone outside the UK to see their site.

Surely if someone wanted one from outside the Uk and was willing to pay the cost and postage then someone on the forums could purchase and send on, just a thought as one of the purposes of forums like these is helping each other out.

That is a possibility if the OP runs out of local or other options. Usually drive belts have a stock number that can be found in places that specialize in drive components like bearings, shafts etc. If anyone has a good belt they could look at it to see what it says and that can be used to find a replacement. Cyprus might have such a place and if not Greece or Turkey would.

The machine is likely to be a generic far East manufactured item, sold under many different brands and in many different colours worldwide. Look for an equivalent sold by someone else and hopefully you will find the belt spec. Grizzly in the US is always a good place to start as the machine manuals they provide are generally very good.

Just as a for instance there is a manual for an Axminster bandsaw here:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/537005/Axminster-Awesbs.html
It would be an astonishing coincidence if it is the correct one for his machine, and does not actually give the belt number but on the inside cover it has an alternative model number for the machine, MJ343B. If you search using that term it gives you worldwide options for a belt (e.g. Drive Belt for MJ343B MJ343BN MJ343C QWS 2 Speed 14" Band Saw Drive Belt B40F | eBay).

The belt shown in the listing is a 4-rib poly-vee (also known as J section). The one in the link he cannot access is also 4-rib poly-vee. That is a standard industrial belt, so all that is needed to determine is the length. A belt from an industrial supplier of the correct length but with more ribs can easily be cut down to remove the excess ribs.
