Hi,

I am a bit lost as to how I can best install the cill to my garden office.
Am i best to attach it next the frame so that it is level with the sub-floor or should i have it placed on top of the sub floor? Picture attached.

I hope I have explained clearly what i am trying to achieve.

Thanks.

The door bottom should be rebated on to a water bar, and the door drip should fixed and sealed to the door, clearing the water bar top by about 2mm,
you can either cut the door frame bottoms, shaped to accept the form of the drip, or cut in between.
You will need to angle the opening side of the drip equal to the door opening radius.
Cut the bar about 2mm short each end for clearance, and don't forget to paint ends and the finished door bottom.
Here are a few options

The water bar, in various different materials is available on Fleabay.

PS Should all this sound a pain in the butt Stormguard do some easy to fit systems, I can recommend the Stormguard lowline in particular having used a few just seal and screw in place as per instructions.

As Rodders says, an inward opening door needs to have a flat cill, which then requires a water bar to stop rain getting blown in. The water bar should be positioned so that it finishes further back than the door stops (or rebate), that way any water travelling down the door at each side will get stopped by the water bar and cant get in. Some people cut the stops around the door drip

Thanks for the replies but pardon my ignorance as I am really struggling to understand it all.
In the picture I posted the cill(145mm x 45mm) is shown on the floor to the left. Am i right in thinking that I should get a water bar which would then be rebated on to the top of the cill? The Cill has a bevel to the front and a drip grove underneath.
The door drip shown in white isn't fixed to the door as yet. Should this door drip be fixed about 2mm above the water bar. I will try to post some photos of what i think i understand from the explanations above.

I may have found what has been explained in the responses already received. I suppose if I have interpreted this correctly my question now would be how did i get away with not having to get the door drip to fit in the frame

With reference to you're first pic.
As you have not made the frame complete with the cill and fitted the door,
Pack up the bearer at the door entrance, to the same level, using a spare bit of sub floor material.
Form a water groove in the front of the cill underneath.
Rebate the new cill to accept 1/2 the door thickness, +2mm rebate the door 1/2 thickness as in the first link.
cut the stops and fit &seal the cill in place.
Fit the door drip as in you're second pic, Happy daze!
