I'm elated at my wife's new job. She works 1 week 8am-4pm then the next week 3pm-10pm alternately. That means every other week I have the entire evening to myself all week. Guess where I'll be?....it won't be the pub!

I guess Graham you'll be in the kitchen slaving over a hot stove preparing her dinner and warming her slippers

Regards Keith

Lucky lad =D>

Please almighty woodwork God let there be no housework list

My missus has had 2 hip replacements, the first 10 weeks ago and second only 3 weeks so housework is not something I'd wish on anyone. Especially when we have a black lab shedding humongous volumes of hair :(

Lons,
help her out a bit and shave the dog :D

I had a moment this morning when I seriously considered using up my can of spray acrylic laquer. Decided I was too young to die though.

What's 'housework' ? The only time we do it is when someone is coming to visit. What's the point? It only gets dusty again !!

We get a lot of visitors Roger. The missus is much less of an unsociable, miserable old grump than I am

The best way to reduce your dogs shedding, is to sleep them in a proper kennel. They will shed a little when you bring them in, (as you do), but generally, even in Summer they don't shed so much as when you lodge them indoors. They usually prefer it. Loved my old German Shepherd dog, but he always slept outside in a dry, wind proof kennel. We did have him indoors of course, but come bedtime he would just raise himself and walk to the back door, to be let out. He lived to a ripe twelve years old.

So long as you maintain dry bedding, they are not stupid, and they'll keep warm! :)

You could always upgrade/trade in the lab for a labradoodle...ours doesn't shed at all :)
