Apologies, folks, that I haven't yet sent out directions. I will do this tomorrow evening (Thurs), by PM, to all on the list.

However, to enable you to plan as necessary, and give you a general clue, the farm is a mile or so from Pebmarsh which lies between Halstead (Essex) and Subury (Suffolk).

Most people will come via Braintree, I imagine, and it will take 20 to 25 minutes from there.........the same from Colchester.

The wood has been moved by the farmer so as to enable easier access for all the visitors. It will now be on a concreted farm yard with a straight forward "flow and return" route for traffic. Sturdy boots are no longer necessary, and most of the filth will have gone from the boards, so dust masks aren't as important as they were. Do bring gloves, (and goggles/ ear defenders if you plan to use the saw).

See you Saturday........I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys.

Cheers

Mike

I will be along, I will have the camera so be warned, because as we all know without pictures it didn't happen.

Hi. sorry but can someone explain how much a cubic foot is? I really only work in metric and even then not in cubic amounts? just 2x4 x 2.4 metres , for example. I'm trying to work out much allocation ??

Hi,

a cubic foot is 1 inch by 12 inches by 12 feet (approx. 25x300x 3.6m).

This isn't an allocation so much as a guess at what people might be after!

all recieved mike

one correction - its me that is collecting for john lawrence ( In addition to miles hot) not bloonose and freind

also johns cheque (which is in my pocket) is made out for 120 notes so he will be getting approx 4 cu ft - not 5 as per pm.

miles is definitely getting two

and i will hopefully be taking ten , tho it does depend how much will fit on the van once i have miles' and johns on board. If it wont all fit i may have to take a bit less.

hmmmmm......you'd be on your own, then, I'm afraid. I don't have a mobile, and the farmyard is a long way from the farmhouse. You won't get lost, and I won't pack up until everyone I'm expecting has been.
