Hi All,
I've owned the DW745 saw for around 7 years, it was bought from new, had relatively light use, and never left the workshop. On the whole, it's behaved and served me well. Until now... Last Friday, the motor cut out mid-use on some mrmdf I was working with. No bangs, smells, bells or whistles, it just cut out. Following some advice I found on this excellent forum, I have since:

Inspected the plug and power cord - All good
Inspected the Field and Armature - Looked all good, windings/varnish seemed fine
Inspected and changed the Brushes - After doing this, the motor spun once then stopped dead again.
Inspected and changed the NVR - Not a jot of difference

The saw is still toast, so I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas as to what could be causing the issue. The only other components before the motor are the interference capacitor and the circuit breaker. I've never tripped the breaker in use, so I don't know the natural state of the switch on the saw. At this time, the button on the switch seems 'loose.' Should it be rigid if it's tripped so I can press it back in?

Anyway, thank you for reading this and any advice would be really appreciated.
