Before I was lucky enough to have a workshop and space for larger woodworking machinery, and being too lazy to do my sawing by hand, I did a hell of a lot of cutting with a Black & Decker scorpion saw.
I've cut down trees with it.. I've sawn through beams.. I used it to cut steel... and I used it to build a massive set of decking on a steeply sloping hill for my parents.. and I even used it to build my workshop - After about 5 years of faithful service, the assembly that holds the blade is utterly worn out and the blade flops and rattles all over the place in a frightening manner.
Since the scorpion has been so useful for out-of-the-shop work in the past, I'm thinking about replacing it with something a little more respectable such as the Dewalt Alligator Saw
The double blade system sounds like a very good idea, but I've been unable to find any reviews. Does anyone have experience of this saw?
Cheers,
