Denford Viceroy TDS 6 SB Sanding disc

Just bought a 3ph Viceroy TDS 6 SB to do mainly bowl turning and am short of an outboard sanding disc either 12" or 14" would suffice, 1.25" x 9tpi LH thread, can anyone help or point me in the right direction to find one

That's just about the most unusual thread used, so you're unlikely to pick up a disc designed for another lathe. If you have a faceplate you could mount a piece of MDF and either stick a velcro disc to it and use velcro backed abrasive or sheet abrasive straight to it and treat it is as sacrificial.

Thanks Phil, it came with RH faceplates but nothing for the LH out board spindle, might look at having an alloy disc made if nothing turns up. Nice bike

You could get - Versachuck backplate - heavy duty with 20mm pilot bore and get the thread cut. That would give you an option of mounting a plate to it or a Versachuck. Of course with a back plate to fit the inside you could use the chuck there as well. They haven't the chuck bodies atm but shouldn't be long. Good bit of kit.

I made my own using one of my outboard small face plates and a aluminium disk
