I have the Delta-it's a very handy tool to have and I'm really pleased with mine!
As Noel said, there is no tilting table option. But it's never been an issue for me.
Cheers
Philly ( Taken from a post re Delta Bobbin sanders on UKW )

£125

Thanks

Thanks

So, how's it going? What's the weather like over your way? Damn nippy here I can tell you.
Anyway, must dash, things to do an all that.

OK

No response from Tom K , after 24 hours , so it looks like its up for sale again

If interested let me know , will give Tom K another day to contact me, after that its for sale again

Thanks

So tempted, as it's much better than my charnwood. But out of my price range right now. I suspect Tom doesn't log on every day.

Just re PMed Blister I still want the tool I've just been a little pre occupied

Regards Tom

Very poor underpowered sander in my experience. One sold on ebay last week for only £70 too.

Is this the sort of comment that we are disallowed from making on your for sale threads? Both comments true and possibly of use to more members than just the one member selling.

now you chaps wouldn't be trying to get a rise out of Blister would you? :)

Surely not?

I assure you i am not. I am genuinely irked that a member of this very helpful site, feel's he can censor comments about things to his own end. I strongly believe in free comment and that is why i enjoy the forum so much, and why it is succesful.

Confused - how can he censor comments; he's not a mod who can reach into threads and change what people have written is he? Even if he was surely that sort of thing couldn't happen and not be spotted anyway. So how is he infringing free speech? :?

If on the other hand you are concerns that Blister has asked for this to be a for sale rather the discussion post I think we've always seen that some for sale posts drift into a discussion about the product or the price - sometimes this irks the OP and then triggers the usual noise about that sort of thing but hey, it's a forum which tends to engender debate which I think is a good thing and is useful to the novices (myself for instance) who want to know.

If on the other hand comments are posted specifically to de-rail or undermine a for sale thread for what ever reason, be it personal dislike, rivalry when attempting to sell a competing product or just to be spiteful that should become fairly apparent pretty quickly even to a newbey like me. Such actions would tend to bolster the OP and undermine the person taking that action - so it's still a good thing.

I'm really not sure that I understand either your original post or the follow on response to me (mind you I am sometimes slow on the update :)) so sorry if it's very obvious to anyone! :)

I totally agree with the above; it's a bad habit with for sale - and admittedly, I'm not helping things either!

All I will add is that I've used one of these sanders at college a fair bit and, although the table doesn't tilt, it's a good performer. Quiet running and reliable. Of course, you couldn't compare this to one of the huge Wadkin machines - it's only Delta, FFS! :) If I didn't have the Jet BOS-5, I would certainly consider one of these over the cheaper SIPs and Charnwoods.

Hi Miles,

Thanks for that well written reply- i can't respond with the same quality of intellect though.

You are quite correct that of course Blister cannot moderate my response, it was more a poorly spewed frustration on my part that someone who seems to make a good profit off the forum wishes to stop any comment about the items he sells.

There have been a few occasions when i wanted to comment but felt i shouldn't due to previous 'discussion' on the subject and my inabilty to articulate myself well enough and get across my point of view. I read this forum daily and i'm sure almost all of the for sale items are honest and up front. Some people take this to extremes and really down play the items quality such is there integrity.
What i find (searches through small vocab for the correct word) 'grates' me a little is when something is being marketed more heavily and talked up, and some of our members may feel they are getting a bargain when infact they may be being poorly advised. If members felt more freely able to question the seller publicly then in my opinion the forum would be a better place. I myself have sold a few things here and welcomed this.
I hope this ramble explains my thoughts a little more clearly.
