Hello

My lovely missus bought me a copy of F&C today and whilst thumbing through I caught an ad for DEFT Machinery. Never heard of this brand before? When you go to their advertised website it re-routes to Lyndhurst, but the site is under construction.

Further Searching found them on eBay. The specs and pics are quite impressive. At it's current eBay price it seems like it's going to go in the region of the SIP 10".

Just wondered if anyone had heard or experienced this machine?

Wizer, like yourself I have never heard of them either...

but after reading the speil(sp?) it does sound like a half decent saw, however their claim of it been better than most 10" clones is a bit off the mark has it is DOUBLE the price of my AXY TS, I would expect it to be better...

had it been £ for £ I could have seen me perhaps convincing myself I needed one

But £1300+ there are still some saws worth looking at.

never heard of them either, but for that money ...

I am very happy with my used , 1961 wadkin ags 10" ts for £230

It wont..... seen this kinda stuff before.....watch it in the last hour, it will go up like a shot, and probably reach its RRP.....

if it doesnt, but highly unlikely,,,,someone has got themselves a nice toy :tool:

Well if you are right Wizer, it looks like a bargain but at their normal asking price I think I'd rather have my Xcaliber 806 at £1175 ish
Plus the fact that it can take an optional dado blade set. Oops did I really say that??

It's likeness to the Jet Supersaw was what caught my eye. But apparantly it's 'British Designed'?

I guess after me posting this here, it's likely to get more interest.

if you read it through - it doesn't read like a 'British' advert - even if a brit designed it. :)

It looks identical to the saw that Lyndhurst were selling a while back under their own branding but with the titanium finish and a new fence.

jon.

At the bottom of the advert in F&C, it mentions that Lyndhurst are the UK stockists of this saw. Not sure about the "gold top", it seems almost like a gimmick... Might be best to wait and see if one of the magazines gets a chance to have a look at it.

I do think it's worth the same as the Sip. On specs alone.

Well it went for £621 + £88 delivery. Considerably less than the £1400 quoted RRP. But more than I thought it'd go for.

Going to keep my eye on that saw, it does look interesting.
