For the price of replacement battery's you can have a new drill with new batteries :? I do like the corded idea though! Wish i kept some of my old battery drills now!
I spent ages a while back testing each cell from my few dead battery packs, untabbing them all and soldering all the best cells back together back into one pack. It didnt make much of a difference new cells would have been better - but new drill was cheaper
