Cutting Kitchen cupboard doors

I have to reduce the height of some kitchen cupboard doors for a family member. Obviously until I take a cut the door material is an unknown! they appear to be run of the mill 20mm thick, so think they are Melamine covered MDF/Chipboard, framed with a thin centre panel.

I need to run them through the table saw, so to reduce the chipping my thinking is to tape both sides of the door at the point of the cut and use an 80 TPI blade raised to full height with the face of the door uppermost.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Highest tooth count blade you have, blade as low as possible, and zero clearance insert plate, face side uppermost.

Presumably they don't have standard euro 35mm cup hinges fitted? If so, take one off and you can see what the door is made of. Then proceed accordingly.

Silly me never thought to look , would have found the answer when hopefully I remembered to removed the hinges before cutting #-o .
