Miles away - totally impractical...
When setting up veneered sheet material in Cutlist, how do you specify grain direction for the material and orientation of the grain for the parts?

As far as I can tell, the only way to get anywhere near achieving this is to not allow the parts to rotate and specify the lengths and widths of the parts according to grain direction. For example... always ensure that either width or length is always following the grain direction for all parts to be cut from a sheet.

Any other bright ideas or solutions?

Cheers

I 99% sure it always takes it that length is with the grain and width is across the grain, so you just put in your measurement to suit.

Assuming you mean veneered boards and the cutting list is for your supplier.
I use Timbmet/Silverman and found that the safest way was to supply drawings of actual boards. The guys in the office understood a cutting list well enough but the men on the coalface were never certain and mistakes occurred unless they had a drawing.

Neil C is right, It seems to take the lenght as the grain direction.

There seems to be no other way of specifying the direction.

You would have to put in all your sheets in the parts list in that way.
