I know this has raised its head in the past and some people say you can do it in sketch up etc

But I thinks this is good

Not sure how these photos will come out but here goes :?

Drew this up quick on the PC , photos off PC screen

Then clicked on viewer and you get this

You can select the timber type

you can rotate the image like this

and this

or have a different wood

or this type

gives you time to study shape and form , design all you want without wasting timber

you can then print out a plan to take down the workshop

I think its great

Looks pretty good Allen :D
If only the finished turned item would turn out the same.
Still as you say it does let you look at your ideas beforehand.

oooooooooooooh I'd love to have a play with that. Been tempted by it in the past. Looks very good. Easier than SU.

I had a look at ths but also balked at £40. Nice to see it in action though. Thanks Allen it looks quite impressive.
By the way, instead of taking photos of your screen, hit the 'Print Screen'' button on ther keyboard (may just say 'Prt Scr' That will make a copy of whatever isd on the screen at the moment.

How much is a nice big piece of burr elm and then you cods it up

I think £40 is good value

and no I dont have a new job working for CW

Pencil and paper pad, and you can carry it around with you so if a idea pops up when out you can just scribble away.

Looks like a good piece of kit if you fancy sitting playing at the screen instead of being in the workshop though.

As Blister well knows, my drawing skills are zilch. So mucking about with a program like this or SU is ideal for me as I can change it and change it til it's right without cutting down a forest in the process.
