This chuck is unthreaded with a 16mm smooth mounting hole. A grubscrew tightens onto the lathe arbour.
Ideal for threading to your requirements or use as is.

The Shopsmith has a plain 5/8" spindle with a tapered flat so as the grub screw's tightened it pulls the chuck towards the register, so a Shopsmith or probably a clone like a Multico.
