Hi folks

Got to ebay some bits, been a very long time since I have done so and I'm rather shocked at postal prices these days

So I need a parcel service that will collect from my house on a day I specify - insure parcel - let me track parcel if needed - and hopefully deliver it and not bend me over on the price. Who do you recommend?

Regards as always..

I have used Interparcel economy service, UPS as the courier, and have never had a problem, it's a two day service but over 99% of the time delivery has been next day.

Highly recommend.

I just used shiply no probs courier was great and price was good also .Jim

I've been very happy with Collect+ - though it does rely on you having a drop-off point within striking distance.

Depends on the weight of the items. I use MyHermes for smaller items up to 15kg and this has worked without problems. Currently I'm shipping two 19kg packages to a buyer and ended up using Parcel Monkey - the actual courier is City Link and is trackable, collected today and delivered tomorrow.

This sounds like a service where you take the parcel to a central point? Is that the case and if so I guess its cheaper than a home pickup?

Not sure if it's cheaper - less than a fiver to send 2Kg in the UK, tracked and insured for £50, and a sliding scale for heavier items, more insurance etc... though to be honest I'd be happy to pay a premium just for the convenience of being able to drop it off somewhere at my leisure. Apparently you can have them collect from you, though I never have. They use a network of corner shops, mini-marts etc... as the drop-off points - I have three within easy striking distance, all 'open all hours' which is handy.

Try Parcel2Go... been using them for ages. Try Hermes through them if you want it cheap. Hope this helps.
