Counter battons for air gap on workshop build?

When it comes to buying the material for the counter battons for the air gap on the shed walls, can I get away with using untreated timber or should I use treated. These will be fixed to the studs then the 19mm shiplap im using fixed to the battons. Im following mikes shed build from another thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would. It’s outside your membrane so still on the soggy side in my view

Treated roofing lats would be my choice
