Why has this happened all of a sudden? (Nokia 1600)..yes I know its prehistoric, but I like it and doesn't need charging every night!!!

Most mobiles have an option of storing contacts in the phone's memory or on the SIM card. Try swapping over to the other setting. You should also be able to copy all contacts from one place to the other, if there is enough room. Not certain if this is the right answer but it's something you can change and it might just make a difference.

This can usually happen when you have the same nbr in twice. What happens when that person rings you? Does it show the name or number?
