Does anyone have a list of sliding mitre saws which all have forward facing trombone arms?
This would be very helpful in creating a shortlist of what is available for my small workshop
Thanks

This thread could end up compiling one ...

It would be very helpful to know your budget and choice of corded for power and long life or do you need battery portability.

Obvious premium candidates are the festool kapex and the bosch axial glide scms which works on a different principle to achieve the same space saving behind.

Makita have fairly decent mid market models.

I recently replaced a 12 inch Bosch mitre saw, It had given great service for many years but needing space I brought the Bosch Axial glide which sits flush up against the wall and has given me about a foot in front of the saw station it sits on compared to the old Bosch. It uses a hinge system rather than tubular rails so you have nothing poking out the front or the back which gives more freedom for the placing of the wood and is both precise and repeatable.
