CNC Machine/ CNC Router
Selling my CNC machine to make room for something larger, reasonable offers will be accepted. This machine was originally made by a company in Lancashire (no longer trading) to a basic standard with a MACH 3 controller. I have upgraded the machine within the last 6-8 months to include a MASSO G3 controller, upgraded electronics, wiring and electrical cabinet.
The overall size of the machine is 1400mm wide x 1180mm deep and stands 800mm to the waste board and another 800mm to the top of the Z axis.
Work area is 800mm x 800mm (X and Y axis), Z axis 120mm max travel (with some additional adjustment if required). Pass through works on both X or Y axis which is great for either taller or wider work than 800mm.
The frame is all welded square section steel making the fame extremely ridged, unlike the aluminium extrusion CNC machines. The stiffness and rigidity is required to maintain fast cutting speeds and accuracy, using powerful Nema 34 stepper motors and 2.2 Kw water-cooled spindle.
The X and Y axis use 20mm linear guide rails and 16mm lead screws, the Z axis has two guide slides and 16mm lead screw.
The electronics and electrical cabinet can be wall mounted or secured to the side of the CNC frame if required (wall mounting = less vibration to electronics). A 24v power supply controls the 240v supply via a relay and breakers. The Stepper Motor Drivers have a 60v power supply to each pair of motors. On the cabinet door power on off switch, two temperature readouts, one for the area around the inverter and the other just a general probe in the middle of the cabinet. Emergency shut off on the cabinet door isolates all the incoming power to the cabinet through the 24v relay. There is also a USB port to allow loading of files for cutting or engraving directly to MASSO G3. 240v PC style fan exhausts the cabinet at the top left.
The emergency cut off on the frame stops the MASSO G3 from continuing the program and stops or freezes everything, simply reset by releasing the emergency stop and fixing the problem (normally user error) and restarting from current position if required.
The MASSO G3 controller is an outstanding controller allowing a huge amount of flexibility and expansion controlled directly from the MASSO G3. Currently set up to home the machine to the front left and then park above the Tool Setter. The XYZ Touch Plate allows setting up of starting position for your job, when a tool change is required the machine will park over the Tool Setter and an on screen message to change to the next tool, the tool length is then measured on the Tool Setter and the job will continue without resetting XY or Z coords. All this depends on the software used and the G-code sent to the machine through USB or WiFi.

Please note the CNC frame is welded and cannot be dismantled, this would be for collection only and would need two people at least to move, I will fit temporary wheels to help. I used a van with a tail lift to help.
