Just had a look at their website and it looks like an interesting and informative place to visit, if you are quick!
Unfortunately due to all the cutbacks there will be projects like this closing down and knowledgable and skilled staff thrown onto the scrap heap all over the country. Its a shame not enough of the millionaire top council staff are not binned instead of the hard working and dedicated staff that really matter and do make a difference to the lives of ordinary people. To many people the culture and history of an area doesnt matter or should not be subsidised by the council or others and should charge high prices to cover their costs. This in my opinion is totally wrong and I see it as just as important as valuable facilities such as libraries and sports centres who are subsidised. We need alternatives for young people to nonentities such as Simon Cowell and what passes for entertainment on TV and computers etc. We need wholly rounded individuals instead of the vacous, shallow individuals that we seem to be breeding as a nation these days. We need to know where we have come from in order to move forward and the ability to make conversation and form opinions on subjects apart from what was on telly last night is becoming a rare thing amongst large parts of our population.
