Don't forget you can take off the moveable stops and bolt two sash-cramps together, at varying positions. There will be a screw-head at both ends, but you can vary the cramp length.
For that reason, (as explained by the tool dealer), I bought four, five-footers, thirty years ago. I've used them ever since. Ok, I knew the salesman had doubled his commission, but in the end he did me a great favour, when I came to make a bed! Oh and yes, I have added more cramps since!
I did find out a way of making Record sash cramps more 'adaptable, but until I can get 'a round tuit' I'll keep it to myself, when I can maybe post WIP.
One thing we all agree on about cramps is we can never have enough! Of any variety.
