Can anyone tell me which bevel edge chisels are better quality to replace my marples - Robert Sorby or Ashley Iles?. Thanks

I don't have any Sorby chisels but I can recommend the regular AI's. I have found the edges crumbled at first but after sharpening to around 35'ish deg or so they hold their edge much better.
I don't recommend the AI butt chisels though. I'm sure the steel is just as good but I find the handle small and uncomfortable unlike for the regular chisels, (but of course each to their own with handles).

How old are your Marples? I wouldn't assume AI or Sorby chisels are going to be any better than what you have to be honest. But maybe if your Marples chisels are very new an upgrade may be worth it - others here will know more.
I had a bad experience with AI chisels and ended up returning them. I have some 5 year old Footprint chisels which work better for me for the time being. But some here have good experiences with AI and some with Sorby - I don't personally think there's much to choose between them.
