Not one to post ebay links but this is a bargain. Got mine from olly for £180 I think and they are a great machine.

£115 with £35 postage. Ideal.

Hope it goes to a UKWer!

lol damn i bought it. I offered 125 delivered and they accepted. I suppose it is still a half decent deal. Oh well that i'll teach me to get all excited.

Ah well still a bargain, I tend not to use the auto switching very much as I have it plugged into a remote.

Did you buy it wordsworth? The one from ebay?

yeah i got the one on ebay. £125 delivered. I need attachments and such for it. I'd like to hook up a vac to it as well seen anything like that?

I would not call it a bargain because for another £14 he could of had a brand new one. That's the problem with Ebay, if you do not do your research you can pay more than you should. And to add to the problem if a member puts a thread on the forum pointing to a bargain, we can get carried away all the more just to get the item first.

This is NOT in away a dig at Chems or anyone else who directs our attention to ebay offers (after all they are doing us a favour), I am just stating a fact that any of us can pay over the odds.

In this case at least you should have a few years left on Records 5 year warranty.

Cheers

Mike

yep, sorry, not a bargain at all. Do your research people..

It was my fault really. I was actually going to get something along those lines and haven't taken the time to look at what the offerings were. I was worried someone else would grab it and didn't understand when you make an offer on ebay that means you bought it if they accept. Now i know I will wait until i've done looking around before making an offer on ebay.

Well at least it is something i need and will use. I am an adult i take full responsibility for clicking *buy*. Some you win some you loose, i got a good deal on a plane last week so i didn't do so well this week. No biggy squiggy.

I seen at axminster one of those vacuum attachments for these machines anyone else seen it or have they stopped selling them?

My fault a bit didn't spot it wasn't the RDSE-2A thought it was the same as mine. Bottom line its a really good extractor thou.

There's nothing wrong with the RSDE1 and it wasn't over priced. But it just wasn't a bargain and it could have been bought brand new for not much more with a 5yr guarantee.

Chems no one is saying that anyone is to blame, least of all you. I just made the comment that its easy to pay to much on ebay. On top of that woodsworth is happy with the deal, so it does not really matter. As has been said both on here and many other places before "An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it" and the buyer was willing to pay £125.

Now on the other hand I am sure that the next time he fancies something on the bay he will be a lot more careful.

Cheers

Some times you win some times you don't win so much but you always win the privilege to pay the most for that item.

And no worries i don't feel bad about this purchase at all. I can't wait to get it. lets drop the fault business, there is non in this issue.

I'm still looking for this though.

That's ok you can stop looking now.

I've found one.

I finally got the dust collector. OMG the ad said mint. It came squished!!!

The other question i have is what holds the lid on these things? There was nothing on this one. It just looks like it sits there. Surely there must be some sort of clasp to hold it on?

Looks like i'll be getting a new one and sending this one back.

Must have been squished in transport :( Good luck with proving it.

The lid just sits on to avoid dust explosions apparently. The explosion wont be very powerful if the lid can just fall off.

Sorry to hear about your damaged extractor, did the delivery driver see it?

Either way I would contact Ebay just to advise them of the situation, because if you contact the seller first and wait for his reply he may try and say that you have had it Ex amount of days before informing them, and could have caused the problem yourself.
Better still if you paid by Paypal then inform them and they may retrieve the money for you.

Whatever you do you must act quick. And do not swallow any rubbish from the seller that they are not responsible for any damage because they employed the courier to deliver the item to you and if they damaged it it is the seller who IS responsible

Cheers

Mike
