I am thinking of buying the Charnwood W030 spindle moulder as my first s/m machine.
I have read through as many threads about tooling as I can find but would welcome some help please. I would be keen to know what are the maximum diameter steel and aluminium blocks that other owners have been able to use with this model.
I looked at the sets that are available but have taken on board the advice that most of the included cutters won't get used.
So I was thinking of initially getting the Whitehill Universal Moulding Block and one rebate block. I was looking at the Whitehill 4 Knife Shearcut Rebate Block but it is 125mm and steel so is that too much for this 2HP 1500 watt machine?

Are these blocks Ok to start off with, I may well get a Whitehill traditional window cutter like the Axminster Traditional Window Cutters (I couldn't post link as I am a newbie I guess)
Is the W030 is powerful enough to use a 55mm cutter like this?

Many thanks for any advice.

I got one in the autumn.

I've only used it a couple of times....if you hunt around you can get a deal including cutter blocks and cutters....

The packages are on the website.

My only frustration has been with the fence, it can be a bit fiddly to line up.

Have 't used the sliding table yet.........

Kebabman...if you haven't already then do please consider having some training on how to use a spindle moulder safely.

A router table will remove your finger.

A spindle moulder - your hand.
