yes, i have one on my lathe. I am happy with it- does the job well.

I couldnt find it with cheap postage anywhere so picked it up at a show. At the time, I didnt need anything else, to dilute the postage with.

(Edit: my small mini lathe, generally used for pen turning)
 
I bought one for the lathe and found it totally inadequate for lathe work. It got relegated to the drill press where a more dedicated, smaller area of illumination is sufficient.

In the end I rigged up an IKEA Tertial light, £8.50, and its 10x better than the Charnwood led.

It was so good I put one with the Sorby pro edge as well. Use 60w reflector bulbs (I did run 100w but they get too hot really) and no heat problems at all.
