I have an 8" bench grinder with c.40mm of available shaft. The slimmest Axminster CBN wheel is 32mm. Their bushes for 5/8" shaft are too thick to fit (9mm flanges); can anyone advise if I can source 1.25" to 0.625" bushes, with a 3-4mm flange? (If I need to have a pair fabricated, can anyone recommend a machine shop that would undertake such a small one-off). Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Please link to the Axminster ones.

Buy the Axminster ones and reduce the 9mm flange to 3-4mm.

Turn up suitable bushes from wood.

3D print suitable bushes from plastic.

Make a mould and cast suitable bushes from epoxy or lead or car body filler.

Buy a piece of plastic rod, drill a 16mm hole in it, secure to a suitable rod, spin in a drill press and remove any other parts that do not take your fancy using a file.
