Cavity Gap when joining timber frame to brickwork?

The Hoj. The roof on the extension will be pitched and will join the existing roof at 90 degrees, so I’ll be creating a couple of valleys. I’m not making life easy for myself!!

Look up Furfix profile to join brickwork to existing brickwork, structurally toothing in is actively discouraged unless you can guarantee there will be no differential movement between the existing building and the extension, with the state of water tables in these modern times, almost impossible to guarantee.

In some respects that possibly makes life a lot easier, bang on some valley boards, run the new ridge in, add the valley jack's, bit of lead work, felt, batten and tile, job done!
