Casters with retractable self levelling foot

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some casters to go on various workbenches in my workshop but I also need self levelling feet as the floor isn’t level. Has anyone come across an adjustable foot that you can raise and lower to engage the casters? I’m sure I’ve seen this but I can’t for the life of me find anything.

It doesn’t need to be one unit but the closest thing is Twin Wheel Adjustable Levelling Castors - Plate Fitting Spanner Operated (WDS 12199) I’d like something where the foot can be quickly raised out of the way so it can be moved then pushed down to re engage.

You can buy or make levers for the castors for each individual wheel, like Bob Minchin's design,
or buy some of those get down on all fours or pull your back out uber expensive great lakes castors, or be sensible and have a look at
Carl Holmgren's designs on youtube for inspiration, if you want hands down the best design to make up.
I'm going to make up a nice compact one for a bench, but from metal that will still enable me to sweep the floor, and find cap iron screws... somehow

I'll second Brian's suggestion above, I have footmaster casters on all my heavy machines

I’ll look into them as they look promising. This is kind of the thing that I was originally talking about.

I'm surprised seemingly no-one has made some sort of outta the way solution
for a single lever design.
It can't be that hard to do the Holmgren thing with a few rods, can it?
