Hello,

The thin end or the thick end?

It is only so I can gauge which end I am at, you understand!

What sort of slope is the OP on though; buying tools without even knowing their use.

Mike.

I've bought tools precisely because I couldn't ID them. Given how many tools I can identify, anything
I can't is de facto interesting.

I may be at the end of the slope you're thinking of.

Me too!

In fact I love getting tools that I'm unsure of - as long as they're vaguely woodwork or metal working.
