Hi Guys,
Thank you for the welcome. I have to sit down and figure out how to post the pictures myself. I make a lot of salad bowls during the year (a little over 2000 now) . I will share some more pictures later.
The Oneway lathe in the picture is gone now and is replaced with another Vicmarc.

Regards,

Glenn

welcome glen, such inspiration from one so young, love it.

I started when I was sixteen which is now nineteen years ago. Trained as a cabinetmaker and then set up my own bowl turning business.
I love what I do. There is never a morning I dread going to work.

Hi Glen....
great to see you here :D
Loved the article in 'the Mag' recently ...
and the bowl thats 'two square bowls joined with the bars' ( awful description, I know ! ), was a real beauty. 8)

We'll be expecting a report on the standard of Eugene's ( Boysie's ) tea-making, just shortly ! :p :p :p

Hi Jenx
thank you for the complement on the square edge platter. It is 24" square and turned in one piece , then split ,drilled and reassembled. I have sold about 12 of them so far all reaching over 1000 euro. It takes nearly all morning to make one! - just joking. The stainless steel bars had to be reduced on a metal lathe. There is a bit of precision required but has been worth the effort. Most of them are now in Embassy's and private collections.
