Are you there Myfordman?

I need some advice wiring up a large motor, as per pictures it's 3 phase and has been star connected in the past.

My main concern is the best way of switching it, do you think a DOL 415v starter fitted with a 13.0>18.0 Amp overload be OK?

If it helps it's a rotary vane vacuum pump so apart from it's own momentum it won't be starting on load.

Thanks for your help.

Yes your proposed starter should be fine. Set the overload to 15.5 amps and be prepared to edge it up by maybe 10% if it trips.

I can see no point in retaining the snubber devices. it is possible that in a past life it was run from an inverter and someone was trying to implement a crude filter.

Excellent thanks for that advice I can now get the right bits for the job.

No problem. I fit a lot of the toolstation DOL starters on jobs. Reliable, sensibly priced and free delivery.

Other brands are available as they say....
