What do you guys do with brad nails that don't fire the whole way home. While toe-nailing shelves this evening I've had a few that didn't quite make it. From previous experience they're to light to punch but not quite long enough to pull. The nails I was using were 30mm 18G ones. Any ideas.
Neil.

With 16g I just snap them off with pliers

I try and hammer them home, using a nail punch helps.
If not it's "snip, snip" time. And then a little file work.
Turn up the pressure on your compressor-problem solved
Cheers

Hammer and a proper (concave-ended) nail punch

I normally throw the nail gun at the wall whilst telling it what i think of its nailing capabilities then calmly snip the nail off and punch it home .
