Why haven't you shown these before? some nice pieces there Boysie and some lovely wood. Keep 'em coming 'cos we like to see peoples work.

Pete

I second Pete on this, why have we not seen your work before?

You have a good eye and a steady hand, kept posting.

Great selection Boysie =D> =D>

Particularly like the chunky platter in the 4th photo, not saying the rest arn`t good, but that one really floats my boat.

Look forward to the next installment.

Certainly a bias towards 'interesting' wood samples, and despite the variety of shapes and sizes my first reaction to the collection was 'he has a style of his own' (meant in a complimentory way) some how to me they fit in as a group, or as a style that must be Boysie.

Thank you all for the nice words, There are a lot of things could be done to my pieces to maybe get some semblence of PROPERwoodturning .But the way I see it they are perfect as a lot of my familey and friends think as well.
All I ever do is sand them a bit and put a coat of Licqued Parriffin on to do what ever it does and Voila another masterpiece   .
I wonder is that why nobody ever offers me money :?: :?: :D :D
I would like to take this oppertunity to thank Blister for going Home S''srr''y. I did not mean that but I cant seem to delete it :D :D
We really had a great time and as I would expect from a forum member a real gentleman. And he did not leave empty handed He had half a VB36 in his boot when he left, hope it doesnt make him walk funny   .
Looking fwd to his next visit as are Clair and Felix the cat.
Thanks Allen and you and anyone else off the forum will always be welcome. REgards Boysie.

Great to see your work at last Eugene, and very nice it is too :D
I do like the last piece in particular.
So that's it there is no excuse now not to post more of your work :D

Paul, as regards posting, I did say Blister had gone home so it looks as if I may have to invite someone over ever so often to give updates.
REgards Boysie.

Great work Boysie.... great :D :D :D :D :D :D
Is there any truth in the story that you're going to turn a leprachaun to sit on the smallest of your mushrooms ? ....
has to be worth a try !

Great to see this... keep them coming Eugene !... magic ! 8) 8) 8) 8) :D :D

Nice collection of Goblets there Eugene !

Keep posting pics !!

Chas, very nice of you to comment favorably on my efforts, Enjoyment is my main exercise in my attempts and I get an abundence of that.
I'm not too good on finishing and to be honest my efforts coming off the lathe would not be enhanced in any way by any of the turners finishes.

But I'm happy with my lot and as you noticed my own style is not too bad. Thanks again Chj. REgards Boysie.

But I'm happy with my lot ............

Eugene, you are very lucky, not many can say that with the conviction that comes across in your post.

As far as my comments, I tend to say what I see/feel but try to apply a personal caveat that if it's not constructive keep it to myself.

Turners should turn for their own pleasure, if others like it as well that is a bonus. You epitomise the whole concept of turning for me. According to St Francis of Assis this makes you an artist me boyo. (see my signature for explanation.

P.S. If you can turn things like that last bowl you can do anything IMHO.

Thanks all, I may have to buy a bigger hat now. you are all very generous with your encouragement and I will strive harder to stay the same. Thank you

REgards Boysie

a great variety of shapes you have there Eugene =D>
my only complaint is that.....you should have posted these sooner :D
best wish's george

George, I thank you for your encourageing words,I have been wondering if I should post what I have done as I may get a little better with tooling and finishing but I dont want to change my basic consept.
The good thing for me is that members have seen what could be construed as shortfalls in the pieces but they are what I had hoped to achieve.
That does not mean that I would not like to turn as you and others on the forum do.But I work within my own comfort zone so therefore I am not disapointed when it is not as well turned or finished as you and the top boys on the forum achieve.
For this reason I have not posted , also I find it diffacult to master just how to get the pictures on to the site. This despite having been shown two or three times and having TEP's excellant how to in front of me.I'm just thick no other answer. Thank you and everyone for their nice views. REgards Boysie.
