They look good Pete!!

What are the sizes of the three boxes? .. and how long did they take you to make?.... and what's the finish on them?

Having seen these in the 'flesh' yesterday they are easily as tasty as they look in the pic. Dare you Pete...make another one smaller still :) - Rob

Wow. Very nice. Simple and elegant.

I like the way that you have made the walls of each box 2/3 of the thickness of the previous one in order to keep the proportions.

Any chance of look at the insides and how the lids fit on?

FECN, I have made these over the last couple of months during which time I made the shooting boards for the mitres(you can see these in the hand tools section). the large box is 240 * 145 and 120 high, the walls of the large box is 18mm. The other 2 boxes are exactly 2 thirds the size including the wall thickness. The large box has splines in the mitres but I did not include this in the other 2 as it would have looked to fussy. The wood is lemonwood and Sapele, finished with 3 coats of danish and then clear wax. No danish on the inside just wax. I will try and post pictures of the inside when my PC is behaving I am currently in safe mode and just about to do a full installation.

Very neat Pete, are vthe boxes made for anything in particular, a friend has asked me to make him a box for his ammunition, hes a licensed marksman and wants a small box to hold Fifty .22 calibre bullets/cartridges, I shall post the results if I make a reasonable job.

I like your boxes and design together with layout.

Wish it would warm upto day, I am wanting to go out to the shed after seeing your display, but frightened that my nose drips will stain any untreated timber.
