Bow fronted bookcase/storage

Just taken a picture of my latest project before I dismantle it for polishing as it won't go back together until it's delivered.

Just over 3m long and 2.4m tall
It's all veneered in Sycamore the doors are matched in pairs with consecutive veneers running across with a simple Rosewood inlay, it will have Rosewood door pulls when I've made them!
And as per the clients wishes it has no back at all not even in the lower cabinets.

Lovely job! I find the lack of a back a bit troubling (hope the wall it's going against is nice and straight!) but a very nice piece. Can I ask how much workshop time you put into it?

Sorry, edited to add a couple of practical questions. Are the cabinets a single piece or do they break down into smaller sections? Ditto the shelves - presumably the fixed shelves at either end are single units, and the centre sections with the adjustable shelves are simply fixed top & bottom? Dominoes (dowels/biscuits/M&T/whatever) for alignment and screwed through - or something else entirely?

Pete, apart from the plinth it breaks down into flat panels albeit with a baton on the back edge, I will try to remember and take some pictures as I dismantle it, it will explain better than words. All the shelves are on pegs the outer ones are for Cd's so need not be adjustable hence no spare holes, pegs are recessed into the shelf for neatness and location.

That's brilliant, thanks - so it's just flat-pack then, lol! Really nice job, and thanks for showing 'inside the tent' - good to see I'm not the only person who 'eases' the edges of their dominos!
