Hi from Hermanus, South Africa.
I’m a retiree doing my best to be a woodworker.
I have a Bois Crane spindle moulder (photos attached) and I want to attach a collett and use the moulder as a table router.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a collett/cutters?

Does it spin fast enough? I was looking at a SIP spindle moulder that came with a router collet and all the reviews said not to bother trying to use it, the max speed of 9000rpm was insufficient for all but the largest router cutters.

You can use router cutters in the spindle moulder but as @Fitzroy pointed out, the speed is usually less than ideal for most router cutters and you would need to use an incredibly slow feed rate to prevent kickback.

It looks like you would need to remove the existing shaft and have a new one made to suit router cutters, it would be incredibly unlikely to come across one that would work for your machine. By that point you might as well invest in a router and table as the shaft may cost more.
