So I'm about to start my first proper kitchen build with pre-lacquered birch ply. I've just ordered some Blum templates - the one for drilling four drawer slides at once, the ecodrilll unit for hinges and the hinge marking one. I found them on the Blum UK Kit shop much cheaper than Axminster.

My question is this, once I have all the drawer boxes in, how do I accurately position the drawer front and mark the holes for fixing? I saw that there was this template but I can't find it anywhere.

I use dupont double sided tape to place in position, then clamp front in place

Unfortunately, that method won't work on this type of Blum drawer box as there is nowhere to put double sided tape or a clamp.

The hole centres for each of the drawer front fittings are 32mm. Once you have the drawer box fitted in the cabinet, temporarily fit the front fittings in the drawer box. Take a measurement down from where you want the top of the drawer front to finish to the centre of the top hole on the front fitting, mark that and then add 32mm and make another mark.

There are quite a lot of adjustments possible to the drawer front once fitted to this type of drawer box system. I've been working with them for decades now, and they are great quality.

One tip I can give you though, when you fit the drawer fronts........The mechanism really grabs the drawer front fittings as you try to marry the two together.......don't have your fingers between the drawer front and any part of the drawer box when you bring them together..........or "Ouch!!!"

These look the same in my kitchen I fitted last week from magnet, yes they do go off with a bang. Lots of adjustability
