Hi all
Anyone give any tips on the correct blade tension and getting the blade cutting true

Rob

The blade will always tend to skew to the right, due to how blades are made. Tension the blade so it sounds like a guitar string when plucked.

There are loads of vids on youtube, helped me as i am just beginning with scroll saw.

I just give the blade a 'twang' and if it gives a nice metallic sound it is usually about right, after a while you get used to setting the tension without even thinking about it.
It's not the end of the world if you get it wrong occasionally, usually the worst that can happen is the blade breaks and they are cheap enough whilst on a band-saw for example if you get it wrong and snap the blade it cost quite a bit of cash!

Cheers Brian, nasty night but noticed a tree down over in the woods behind me. Need to chat to the land owner, some nice wood going to waste
