Folks,

I am after a large (ish) slice of burr to use as a table top. Species not too important but does need to be robust.

Whould need to fit into rectangle roughly 1.5m x 0.9m x approx 50mm thick.

Thanks
Simon

This is my first post, so I better introduce myself.
I try to scratch a living by making things in wood and metal, I also do a bit of mobile sawmilling.
I have a couple of bits of 2inch thick burr elm, nice and dry. Although I live in Essex I do travel across to Wales about once a month.
If you are interested I will see if I can find a photo.

As I have just registered, it

appears I can not send PMs.
I am also struggling to post a photo.
I have two slabs, one at 2inch and one at 2.5 inch thick. They are about 1.8m by o.6m wide. Not dead straight.
Barn stored for over 10 years
Price is £120 per slab and say £40 to deliver them to Gloucestershire next time I travel to Wales, which will be mid Feb.

Hi John,

Thanks for the info.

I think I will make a couple more calls as I am really after something a little wider and would prefer not to join it but I will hang onto your details.

BRgds
