Well, I’ve left the maintenance of this BBQ table a little too long and one of the planks has cracked. My plan for the whole thing is to sand and treat with worktop oil.

For the cracked plank, is it best to use sawdust and glue or wood filler? Crack is 2mm at widest point.

Any other thoughts on the treatment, sanding grit etc for this cedar bench?

That will close up easily with a waterproof glue. Try a few wedges between the boards otherwise it will have to be taken off and clamped. After that it needs a good sanding and preservative - the choice is endless.

Not sure that is cedar - looks more like a tropical hardwood, The best treatment for the split , would be to remove the slat and glue it back together. You could even reinforce it with a thin screws from the side.
You might find that you have to use a stain to recover the colouring and even out the patchiness after sanding.

You’re right, it’s Eucalyptus.
