I have a big tin filled with random allen keys picked up goodness knows where and of course plenty of flat packs. I always keep them so that I can dedicate a key to a tool that needs it without touching my sets.
Dozens of keys ... and still no 7mm ... :D

I've found Halfords Advanced Pro toes and Allen keys to be good. Lifetime guarantee. Not silly money. Wiha and some others now do colour coded ones which is a nice idea. I use Stanley Fat Max screw drivers and find them to be very good. Other use Wera, and Farcom are meant to be good.

Try a brake caliper on a Ford

Ah yes, I remember waiting ages to get one that size from the Snap-On man!

As above, I've got Snap-on and Wera, never had any issues; ball ended are excellent. I also have the Wiha system 4 for the smaller stuff (up to 3mm) and they are fantastic too.

When I was big into Remote control cars many years back now, they were all put together with allen driven machine screws. I suffered for years with the standard crappy allen keys and was adviced by fellow hobbyists to buy some proper hex drivers, which I never did due to the expense and a waining interest in the hobby. But to my knowledge the ones made for RC were very high quality; examples: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/tools/rc-ca ... ttributeID[72]=779
