I have a big load of beech. I bought it a while back to make a garden bench in one of Nick Gibb's books. Only when looking at the amount of wood, I'm not so sure. It'd be an enormous bench. The top would be 1525x420x75 mm. That's a chunky bench. It'd be very easy to make, but I'm wondering if I should try and find a better use for such a quantity of (S4S) beech. The main issue would be that I'd struggle to rip it into thinner bits of wood in my Neanderthal workshop. And I wouldn't have a garden bench. It's so much that I even wonder if it could become a workbench top. So, bench or no bench?

(For those who've read my competition WIP thread, this is a different load of beech. I know...)
