Thank you Phil.

Hopefully we'll find out what people will pay, if I can think of a way of putting them, and the blanket box, on sale.

Mike

Mike,

Very nice. :D Lots better than the original ones, I hope you find some one to buy them.

I hope you still have the bed legs? Best nail them back on.

Mike - cunning or what  ....the way you've got round the problem of the legs is radical but effective and the overall result is an improvement. For me though, the top of the leg detailing is still too 'fussy' There's an element here of 'silk purses and sows ears' if you'll pardon the expression. The final tables are acceptable but don't for me fall into the 'wow' category...the blanket chest did!!
If I've read the previous comments correctly, this is your first attempt at mixing timbers and in my view is always very tricky and quite difficult to get right. I think that there should be one main timber and any detailing ought to be done in just one other wood or else the whole thing starts to look overly fussy - Rob

Rob,

you ought to write my bits!! You pretty much sum up how I feel about these (as you did last time).......a big improvement, but not "my thing". That is why I will be trying to sell them somehow.

Mike
