Here is a rack holding several of his saws. The delicate turning saw on the end of the rack works like magic.

Interesting - the arm propertions appear to indicate that you couldn't put high tension on the blade; the stretcher is usually 50% up the arm.

fwiw, I literally knocked the dust off my resaw framesaw, in case you still fancy the idea...

Two foot rule to give you an idea of size.


Bolt head recessed to stop it turning, slot in the threaded part for one end of the 1/2" 6 point skip bandsaw blade.


Threaded rod with a slot cut in it and a wing nut to tighten.


And I just know someone's dying to make the bicycle bandsaw :wink:

Alf, thanks for the pics of your frame saw, quite a nice looking piece! I definitly think i'll be making one after seeing the results on the hyperkitten website!

I assume it wouldnt be much of a hard-ship having different blades for various requirments, like ripping, curve cutting etc...

I had to laugh out loud with the bicycle bandsaw, such a madcap idea!
