And agree 100% with what you said in your OP. You may be cured, but there's NO guarantee that the cure is permanent, so "be careful out there kids" (of ALL ages)!

Good advice, I managed to prolapse a disk a couple of months ago now, lifting something I've lifted dozens, if not hundreds of times before - not a lot of fun (and an early warning of how it could be in later years). I also know a lass who's been suffering for years with back issues, despite being slim but tall - 6'2", still not right after two ops.

I now keep a velcro support brace in the car, so it's always on hand.
