AXMINSTER WORKSHOP AW318BT BENCHTOP THICKNESSER

Has anyone got one of these machines? Looks very similar to the Jet JWP 12 thicknesser and I was wondering if it is worth considering as it is £100 cheaper for pretty much the same spec.

I would appreciate any recommendations, and no, I don't need or want a planer/thicknesser, just a thicknesser.

I was looking at this & the similar Charnwood one a couple of weeks back, then saw a Metabo one similar spec but will do slightly wider boards for less money on Amazon.
So that’s that I went for.
Been pleased with it so far.

Try searching this forum for: AC318BT
If axminster did the usual thing then AW318BT is likely just a rebadged version of the original Craft series: AC318BT

Unless you find Jet JWP-12 cheap I would not consider it as it is likely being phased out since Jet now sell a marginally better JWP-12L.
Here it is shown as JWP-12 but it is actually the newer "L" model: note the thickness gauge on the front and missing 3rd support column on each side.
