That's IT!

I am done for!

When I thought that Axminster was only in Devon I was RELATIVELY safe...

Event then it was dodgy as Devon and Cornwall are my most favourite counties and a visit was on the cards....

Then I STUPIDLY clicked on "OUR STORES"....and found they had 16 THOUSAND square feet and TEN THOUSAND items in Sittingbourne...not 20 minutes from me....

I'm in SERIOUS trouble now....

And to think...I only wanted a blinkin' blade reduction ring....

It would be easier just to "pop over" and pick one up....wouldn't it?

Yeh....I can be controlled....I can go straight in and buy one and just LEAVE....can't I? I am STRONG....I WILL MAKE IT out again....

:D :D :D :D :D

I spent nearly an hour in the Nuneaton Axminster today and didn't buy a thing, but I did have a long conversation with a very helpful lady in the Festool department.......

It's an hour down the road from me and I had much the same reaction when I first visited. Kind of an 'uh oh' moment. Since, I've spent more money than I care to admit. Very convenient tho. Sometimes you just need to go and have a look at something or see two things together.

I won't mention the manager's special room....

You're not helping guys...you REALLY aren't!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Thank Heaven they don't have late night shopping....

I can feel the car keys calling me NOW....

It's just not FAIR!!!

:D :D :D

I hope you didn't dominate the conversation Ed :) - Rob

Typical Woman, she was trying to Domesticate him!!!

She was very knowledgeable, without the bullsh*t you sometimes get from male salesmen.

Now, sitting on this Domino fence is giving me splinters in the a*se, I need to make a decision one way or the other. I have a commission for a shaker style bench for someone on its way to me which is swaying the decision a bit.

hi

ddddoonnnnttt , go into an axminster shop , you live to regret it , it a toss up between my self and rob (the woodbloke) who spends the most every trip down to axminster without realising how much we spend . hc

ps o yea don't tell her indoors when your going

Ha ha, I found myself in the same boat about 3 weeks ago. I'll just pop in and see what they have, no harm in that. The receipt was the length of my arm and I had to put the dog in the front seat.
I asked what the manager could do for me as far as a discount was concerned and on a £1600 purchase I got £45 off, that's the only bad thing about the whole venture, still found myself back there yesterday though.
It's an evil evil place!!!.

.. then you're driving far too slowly, I've been known to do it in 25mins if there's something I really want

My LORD! Welling to Sittingbourne in 25 mintues!

I reckon...years ago when they opened the new A2(M) I could have done it on my push-bike faster than that! :D :D :D

Ah...the memories!

Do you think someone would close Detling hill for a while...roadworks or something...just so I was put off going....

SIXTEEN HUNDRED BLEEDIN' QUID!!! Man....oh dear...oh DEAR OH DEAR...

That explains your back problems anyway...

Axminster used to be in Faversham in a very small and crowded shop, they relocated to just outside Sittingbourne a few years ago, now they are about 5 minute drive away from me, which is great.
The only complaint I have is that they don't open Sundays, which is sometimes the only time I can pay them a visit
